Best President for Housing?
Who do you think will be the best President for real estate and housing?
I've been getting a flurry of emails over the last couple days from Rudy Guiliani and his campaign, they've worked hard to garner the pseudo-approval of the National Association of Home Builders and obviously got access to the NAHB email database.
So, a former mayor of New York, couple times divorced and perhaps connected to the mob is our best bet for housing? Does he have any idea what it takes to get a zero down payment, 600 credit score, FHA loan on a 1,200 square foot 3 bedroom first time home, for middle American today? Probably not. He is probably buying into the sub-prime chatter too.
Of course Romney worries me even more, mutual fund Wall Street guy, he probably thinks we should make it even harder to buy a first time house, so that the bond market can be safer.
My support for John McCain is no secret, I've posted liberally over at Porter County Politics on the subject. But I would be curious what you think or know about the candidates positions as they relate to our industry?
